    Near Death Experience

One of my classmates sent me a link to a fascinating account of a "near death" experience.  In Mellen-Thomas Benedict's account, he was actually dead for at least 30 minutes.  Most of us have heard many stories of NDE (which is shorthand).  Most of those stories are about being on the operating table, heart stops, they see a light and hear "it's not your time yet."  and they come back alive or their hearts are shocked back to beating.

This man's story is extraordinary.  It also encompases so much of what I have been learning in my classes and especially in books I've been reading and have wanted to share but not able to put into words so it makes sense to others.  Please take the time to read it.  Click here:  Mellen-Thomas Benedict   It is fairly long so you may want to print it out for a leisurely reading at a later time.

Enjoy and have faith that we are all on the right track!!

Hi, thanks for the pointer to that story.  It's a subject of perennial questioning to me -- to everyone, I suppose.

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.  I'm floating around visiting all those people who have made an impact on my life this past year, and to say a simple thanks to them.  You, I cannot forget.  I think I have a lot to learn from you, but also, you know how to make me laugh.

    Thanks for brightening my life.

One day I will have to sit down and read all of your entries.  I really enjoy each and everyone.  We seem to be on the same path ~ but then again I guess we are all on the same path ~ at least I hope we are :o)
Thanks for the comment nice to know you are still out there.  Happy Thanksgiving (or just plain happy day if you prefer).

First of all, welcome back; I missed you!

This is a powerful entry, Starrystuff. I have been interested in and fascinated by the subject of NDE's and have spoken with a friend who experienced one once as a child. I think he was grateful for an open-minded listener. It's sad that such a remarkable experience is so threatening to some that they immediately discount any significance in such an occurrence, or view it as an attempt to win attention or to threaten some other system of belief.

As medical technology advances, perhaps more may be learned so we may all benefit in our individual spiritual journeys.

I read the article and  bookmarked the link for  consideration in the future; fascinating!!! Thank you so much for sharing it.

    Peace and love, always...
